I made a choice with yesterday’s ride to get all the way to Bismarck so I could have an extra rest day. My plan included a rental car here tomorrow morning for a cross-country drive down to Nebraska, do a ride, stay the night, and get back here Thursday in time to meet Claire at the airport. I overlooked one detail. There are exactly zero available rental cars in Bismarck. A U-Haul truck rental would cost me $300 plus gas. Nebraska is definitely not worth that. I’ll have to figure out a different way to get there. Now I basically end up with 3 days in Bismarck. At least my butt gets a break from the seat. Maybe tomorrow I’ll ride around and see if there’s anything to do.
